Type of food: Breakfast and lunch enjoyed in The Valley’s gorgeous California Lane. They specialize in vegan salads, smoothie bowls, breakfast pots and energy balls for a perfect start to your morning.

Shadowplay Teahouse

Type of food: Coffee, cake, salads and sandwiches are served at this plant-based gothic-style café. Expect delicious vegan black magic carrot cake, ginger-bread bats and blue-swirl meringue.

Type of food: Vegan burgers and snacks enjoyed in an 80’s gaming arcade with brilliant craft beer.
100% vegan restaurant? This isn’t a vegan restaurant but the concept is pretty cool. Everything on the menu is served with vegan meat and cheese unless you switch them out for animal products.

Tippler’s Tap

Type of food: Chicago-inspired beers & food. They do really good vegan burgers, hot dogs and loaded fries.
100% vegan restaurant? No, but they have a separate vegan menu.

Type of food: Upscale Thai restaurant with some great vegan options. I love their vegan mushroom curry hailing from Northern Thailand.

Type of food: Modern Chinese cuisine featuring typhoon cauliflower with roasted cashew, as well as potato and truffle spring rolls.
